Evergreen

Trinity Academy Whitehill has created our enhanced provision, Evergreen, for children who need additional support, but can still thrive in a mainstream setting.

In close collaboration with Calderdale Council and building upon our well established foundations of inclusive practice, we have thoughtfully created and developed Evergreen – a specialist provision dedicated to meeting the needs of children that require extra support.

Evergreen is more than just a provision; it is a nurturing and inclusive environment designed to ensure that every child receives the tailored support they require to thrive.

Led by a team of highly experienced professionals, our approach combines expertise, care, and innovation to create a truly enriching educational experience.

The enhanced provision has been carefully designed to remove barriers to learning, foster confidence, and empower children to achieve their potential in a setting that embraces and celebrates individuality.

Hayley Gec

Assistant Principal Inclusion

At Trinity Academy Whitehill, we are passionately committed to providing equal opportunities in an inclusive environment where all children feel valued and barriers to learning are removed. We value each of our children as individuals and celebrate their achievements and talents across the curriculum. I am passionate about education and want to instil a love of learning to every child that attends Whitehill. I strive to ensure every pupil at Trinity Academy Whitehill is given the strong foundational skills they need to be successful later in life.

Admissions

In order to request a consultation for a place in any of the Evergreen provisions, your child must have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
The decision to request a change of placement will usually be made at your child’s annual review. If it is felt that a placement in Evergreen would be appropriate for your child, the professionals currently working with them will inform Calderdale Council, providing the relevant information about your child and their needs through the annual review process.
When Calderdale Council receive an annual review which requests a change of placement to Evergreen at Trinity Academy Whitehill, they will send a consultation letter to the school asking if we can meet the child’s needs. The school and SEN team will make the decision and will confirm whether a place will be offered or not.
