Admissions to Nursery classes

Thank you for expressing an interest in Trinity Academy Whitehill Nursery!

We offer both 15 and 30 hour funded places. All children aged 3-4 years old are entitled to the universal 15 hours of funded nursery care; parents are not required to apply for this, school will apply on your behalf.

Please see below details for eligibility criteria for 30 hours of funded nursery care, which parents must apply for directly on the Gov.uk website.

Sessions

The universal 15 hours of funded care can be taken as two full days and one half day at either the beginning or end of the week, or 5 morning only sessions. The 30 hours of funded care can be taken as five full days 8:30am-2:30pm or, alternatively, you can opt for 3 or 4 full days using only part of your 30 hours of funding. You do not have to use the full 30 hours.

We do not offer afternoon only sessions; these can only be taken where your child is accessing Wednesday afternoon as part of 15-hour funding at the latter end of the week, or on days where your child is also attending the morning session, making up a full day.
If you need additional care, extra sessions can be paid for at an additional charge. This care is for term time only.
Any requested care or changes to your child’s nursery sessions will be subject to availability and eligibility.
Children who attend our nursery within the Calderdale Reception admissions window will receive higher priority for our Reception intake for the following September, should we become oversubscribed.

Childcare Voucher –

If you require any further information, please do not hesitate to contact finance@whitehill.trinitymat.org

Invoices will be sent via email the month before payment is due. A monthly statement will also be emailed. At the end of the academic year, a statement will be issued detailing all payments made and also funded hours.

Meals

Our school lunches are all made on site and cost £2.30 per day, if you are not entitled to Free School Meals. Options include sandwiches, a choice of hot meals, and desserts, including fruit. Menus work on a three week rolling programme, and include a Halal option. Special dietary requirements can be catered for upon request.

All meal orders should be made by parents through the MCAS app. You will be given login to the MCAS on your child’s first day of Nursery.
