Curriculum

We work to provide a broad and balanced curriculum which is engaging and challenging for all students. Our aim is to develop young people into well-rounded citizens who can show they are ready, responsible and respectful at all times. Our curriculum is underpinned by the National Curriculum (2014) and as part of this we cover a number of compulsory subjects, which are then enhanced with a range of additional opportunities.

Compulsory National Curriculum subjects are:

  • English
  • Reading and Phonics
  • Maths
  • Science
  • Design and Technology
  • Computing
  • History
  • Geography
  • Art and Design
  • Music
  • Physical Education
  • Modern Foreign Language (French is taught throughout KS2)

We also cover Religious Education, along with Personal, Social, Health and Education (PSHE). At any given time the children will be studying either a history or geography unit and an art and design or design and technology unit.

Feel free to get in touch with us direct if you would like any further information on our curriculum. Contact details can be found on the ‘contact us’ page. Please direct your request to the senior leader with responsibly for the curriculum.
