Ofsted Section 8 Inspection – 1-2 April 2025

Dear Parents and Carers,

I’m delighted to share some fantastic news with you.

Following our recent Ofsted inspection in April this year, Trinity Academy Whitehill has maintained its ‘Good’ rating, and the report is full of positive reflections on the work happening every day across our school.

The inspectors recognised the strength of our Early Years provision, highlighting that “children in the early years make a strong start to their education” and that “leaders give careful thought to what they want children to learn.” This is a real testament to the dedication and planning of our staff and the enthusiasm of our youngest learners.

They also noted that “leaders are determined that pupils will become responsible citizens,” something we value deeply at Whitehill.

We believe education goes beyond the classroom – it’s about developing kind, thoughtful, and confident young people who contribute positively to the world around them.

One comment that meant a great deal to us was: “Children said they are proud to attend Whitehill.” That pride is something we see every day and I couldn’t be prouder of our pupils, staff, and the entire school community.

You, as parents and carers, are a huge part of this success. Your support, trust, and partnership help create the environment where children can thrive.

Ofsted also recognised our inclusive approach, stating: “The school swiftly identifies and provides effective support to pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND).” It’s important to us that every child gets the support they need to succeed and it’s wonderful to have that work acknowledged.

The inspectors described a school where “staff are proud to work” and where the leadership team, including trustees and governors, provide strong support and challenge, united by a shared ambition for every child.

As I said to the inspection team, this is just the beginning. We know that success in education takes many forms and while it’s fantastic to receive a positive Ofsted judgement, we also continue to focus on the many wider aspects of school life that shape confident, happy, successful young people.

You will also be aware that from September 2025, Trinity Academy Whitehill will become Trinity Academy Whitehill, reflecting our growing and successful partnership with Trinity Multi-Academy Trust, which began in January 2024.

This new name marks the next step in our journey, but our principles, our staff, and our commitment to your children remain the same.

Please join us in celebrating this proud moment for our school and looking forward to an exciting future ahead.

Thank you once again for your continued support and if you wish to read the full report you can do so here: Ofsted Report 2025
